    Master/slave is a model for a communication in which one device or process (known as the master) controls one or more devices or processes (known as slaves). Control always flows from the master to the slave(s) once the master/slave relationship is established. Jenkins Master: Schedule the jobs, assign slaves, and send build commands to slaves to execute the jobs. It will also monitor the slave state (offline or online) and get back the build result responses and the display build results on the console output. Jenkins Slave is a java executable which receives the build instructions from the central master node. There is no need to install Jenkins on the slave node. It is sufficient to have a JRE (Java Runtime Environment) installed on the slave node.
